Getting in behind the wheel, I damn near jumped out of my shoes, when George’s head fell against me! “What the hell?” I yelled, “Even out, you’re a scary mess!” Maybe I was over reacting a might, but I better keep myself together, cause there’s no room for mistakes. Pushing him back, he fell against the door with his head against the window. Heading north to Highway 12, then east, over the bridge where one Larry, became two! I laughed to myself, and looked over at George, “Don’t worry, I got better things in store for you! ”

Traveling the distance across Boulden Island, I went over the next bridge, then realized I had gone too far. Making a sharp “U” turn, and going back over the bridge, I made the hard left onto the levee road, that ran parallel with the Tower Park Marina.

Driving slowly along the dirt road, it wasn’t long before I was directly across from where Fred’s boat was berthed. Fred was a good pilot with his large vessel, but not wanting to take a chance on any damage to his “Boy Toy”, he managed to get a spot on the end of the pier, thus leaving the stern without restrictions. “This will do well,” I thought, pulling into a corn road, meant for tractors. Slipping the flotation device over his head, George made some slight sounds, but not enough to be a hindrance to my efforts. Dragging him over to the waters edge I was able to slip him into the raft. “Let’s head for the entertainment stage,” I whispered.

Slowly and quietly using my hand as an oar, I began moving my cargo ever closer to Fred’s big boat. It was Fred’s form of release from the day to day pressure dealing with Storm and the lifestyle he was living. Now it was going to be my kind of release!

The raft bumped gently against the dock, next to the boat. I continued my preparations of George, by attaching a small anchor to his feet, tying it so that the anchor post was securely between his legs . Next I tied a line to each of his wrists, leaving about two feet of excess for later use.

As I slid him into the water, the flotation devices kept him upright, and he didn’t show any signs of awakening, from his medication. At this point I said to an unhearing audience, “ Look here George, I’ve spent a lot
